Home Alone

Kiara and I had some banter on IG and then thought we could do a very casual shoot one weekday afternoon with us both free. I had a simple idea of a story of just being “Home Alone”. Kiara sent me some pics of her old apartment at Surry Hills and thought it was perfect for us as it really was being Home Alone.
With help from my Hair and Makeup friend we just spent a few hours doing what girls do, wake up late, have a shower and some Coco Pops for breakfast at 4pm. Then into some clothes to spend the night in the kitchen, painting her nails, having a drink and a dance, then time for going to sleep on the kitchen table..
This to me is as honest and raw as photo stories get, the surroundings and scene shot activities really create a nice story as all of my projects do.

Rituale The Label

Claire is a  freelance hair stylist and makeup artist in her second-year fashion design student at South Metro Tafe.

This shoot was a laid-back portrait session that was loosely inspired by the counter-culture of 90’s photography and fashion. Samantha shares a striking resemblance with iconic 90’s model, James King, now more commonly known as Jaime King, and so we thought we would play with this notion. We channeled some infamous heroin chic and grunge undertones and had lots of fun exploring some moody vibes.

Saturday Night In

This was shot in a local Air BnB apartment near my place at Maroubra in Sydney, they are a good and not costly idea for locations and the owners were cool for us to shoot there.
It’s a story about having a Saturday night in, just chilling out, having some pizza, cheesels and a bottle of champers.
Earlier before everyone arrived I spotted a Mr Whippy van nearby and bribed him to come back later in the day for some ice cream and to get a couple of shots which added nicely to the story. It sure was a real fun night with my trusty team and not being too serious, just having some fun and a few laughs (and our talent was willing and hungry to eat and drink!).

This is a simple story to show the essence of friendship and helping each other get over a relationship ending.

Nights With You

It was around the idea of being a rebel & what that means, “Someone who believes in what they believe in. And isn’t afraid to say it. A person who does not conform to what others prefer.” I see Not Applicable as a rebel not following the ‘fashion rules’ and breaking them.

Swan Song

Swan Song is a stylised portrait session/series, which has underlying tones of cult semantics and sisterhood bonds. The photos tell a loose story of two very close friends, who share a very strong sisterly bond, and have made a pact together, that they commemorate their life together with a symbolic send off – their Swan Song.

Girls out west, we ain’t got no beach

With the hottest summer on record with temperatures consistently over 35 degrees, our cast who live way too far from any ocean or beach decide to have their own backyard pool party. It starts off with Georgia and Bella just hanging at home and decide to call Chayde to see if she wants to meet up at the local store and grab a few snacks and drinks and head over to their backyard for some summer fun. They decide to blow up the tiny pool to cool off and of course in a very Aussie way and also have some fun with the garden hose. To me it shows a quintessential Aussie summer and as you can see our girls do have some fun.
