This shoot is a revamped university assignment. These photos were taken back in
2014 for a project that experimented with on-camera flash photography.
What gave these photos an extra punch was the use of an old Metz heavy duty
flash. I love the contrasted, glossy effect that the strong flash gave these photos.
Still to this day, these shots are some of my favorite pieces I’ve taken so I
decided to revisit them and edit them with my new knowledge.
The concept for this series was inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s film adaption of
Vladimir Nabokov’s Novel, Lolita and more notably, the iconic heart-shaped glasses and
